Student Member Atlanta Travel Scholarship
Here is the info on the $415 student member travel scholarship to the 2011 National Conference in Atlanta:
What is it?
An opportunity for a SPE southwest region student member to be able to subsidize the cost of attending the SPE national conference in Atlanta, GA in March 2011.
Who is eligible?
The applicant must be a current SPE member at the student level at the time of the submission deadline.
How do I enter?
E-mail the following materials to: scholarship@spesw.org
Submission Materials:
-5 Images of Personal Work (File Specs: High-Res JPEG format, 800 pixels on the shortest side at 72ppi, Labeled: LastName_FirstInitial_##.jpeg (example: smith_j_01.jpeg))
-A formal letter of application written by the applicant. This letter should detail the applicants level of education, their involvement with SPE, their other related activities, and should state why they should be awarded a scholarship. Please email this letter as an attached word document.
-A letter of recommendation for the scholarship from a faculty member sent directly to scholarship@spesw.org in the applicants behalf. This letter should also be e-mailed as an attached word document.
UPDATED: An e-mail address of a faculty member as reference. Please include this in your letter of application.

When will the winner be announced?
Thursday, February 10, 2011 (One month before the conference to allow for travel plans!)
When will the winner be issued the scholarship?
The winner will be issued a check upon registering at the national conference in Atlanta, GA. You must be registered for the conference to receive the award!
