The tension between photography as a window on the natural world and photography as a visual language that can convey alternative meanings, is the subject of Etherton Gallery’s exhibition, Elegant Wisdoms, featuring the work of photographers, Kate Breakey, Chris Enos and Lisa M. Robinson. Each photographer addresses this issue through an exploration of man’s relationship to nature. An opening reception will be held Saturday, November 10th, 7:00pm to 10:00pm. Kate Breakey’s portfolio of her recent work and Snowbound, a new book by Lisa Robinson as well as a portfolio of Robinson’s recent work will be available. The exhibition runs through January 19, 2008.
